(Iowa City) Iowa went on the road for their Big Ten opener and suffered a 77-70 setback to 2nd ranked Purdue. The Boilermakers are a perfect 8-0.
Iowa hit just 5/21 beyond the arc in in the game and trailed 39-26 at half. Patrick McCaffery led the team with 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Tony Perkins scored 14 and Keegan Murray contributed 12 points.
Purdue outrebounded Iowa 42-30. Jaden Ivey scored a game high 19 points.
Next week 7-1 Iowa will host Illinois on Monday and travel to #19 ISU on Thursday.
