(Greenfield) Adair County Health System (ACHS) is pleased to announce two of its leaders were recently named 2021 Pinnacle Achievers in a North American-wide recognition program.
Chris Roberts, Acute Services Manager, was recognized as empowering manager, and Amy O’Rourke, Chief Clinical Officer, and Compliance and Privacy Officer, was honored in the category of motivating administrator.
The Pinnacle Achievers were selected from hundreds of outstanding nominations submitted by healthcare employees across the nation and Canada through the program, which was established and is managed by the HealthCare Service Excellence Conference.
The awards were presented by Richard Hadden, conference representative and Custom Learning Systems Implementation Specialist at an ACHS Service Excellence training session in October.
Roberts and O’Rourke will be recognized at the 24th Annual HealthCare Service Excellence Conference on Nov. 10 in La Jolla, CA. Additionally, they are eligible to win the prestigious Summit Award, the event’s highest honor, which will be given to one individual in each of 19 Pinnacle Achiever categories.
“Congratulations to Chris and Amy, both of whom are very deserving of this special honor,” said Catherine Hillestad, Adair County Health System CEO. It has been a challenging time for everyone in the healthcare industry. However, these individuals have continually demonstrated kindness, servant leadership, strength and grit throughout the pandemic, and we are very thankful for their contributions to our healthcare system.”
Adair County Health System launched a Service Excellence Initiative in 2019. In the past year, nearly 100 staff, including 23 leaders, completed service excellence training for a total of 517 education hours. In addition, ACHS improved patient satisfaction scores in three areas, including a 23 percent increase in urgent care.
