(Des Moines, IA) — Authorities are releasing the names of two victims killed in separate shootings Monday night in Des Moines. Officers called to the banks of the Des Moines River found 43-year-old Javier Moncada dead of an apparent gunshot wound. Homicide detectives are still investigating Moncada’s death. Investigators say 40-year-old Frederick McCuller the Second was one of three people shot about two hours later on the city’s east side. Two other men suffered non-life threatening injuries in that shooting. No arrests have been reported in either case.
