The Trojans have won four in a row to even their record at 11-11. In game one, Garrett McLaren, Garrett Reynolds, and Grant Sturm had two hits each. Gunner Kirchhoff doubled and drove in three runs. Wyatt Redinbaugh threw a three-hit shutout with six K’s and one walk. In game two, they scored four in the 6th to come from behind. Bodie Johnson and Garrett McLaren each hit a double. Brendan Atkinson singled drove in two runs. Grant Sturm and Garrett Reynolds each had a hit. McLaren Dayton Templeton combined on the pitching duties. Templeton had three shutout innings with two hits, no walks, and five K’s.
St. Albert 5, Nodaway Valley 3
Mason Menefee led the Wolverines with two hits and two runs scored. Two RBI and a single for Mason Mather. Mather pitched all seven innings with two strikeouts, one walk, and eight hits allowed. Evan Forcht had a single and an RBI.
Audubon 11, ACGC 1
Gavin Smith had two of Audubon five hits. Ethan Klocke, Cooper Nielsen, and Alex Foran added singles. Smith, Braden Wessel, Nielsen, and Gavin Larsen drove in two runs each. Larsen allowed one hit, three walks, and two hit batters in 3 1/3 innings pitched with 5 K’s. Braden Wessel retired all five batters he faced in relief.
CAM 13, Riverside 3
The Cougars move to 21-4. Connor McKee had three hits including a double. Lane Spieker was a home run shy of the cycle. Spieker, Joe Kauffman, Cade Ticknor, and Brody Paulsen each had two RBI. Ticknor legged out two triples among his three hits. Kauffman ups his batting average to .512 with his two hits. Spieker has climbed to .516 and Colby Rich is hitting .571. CAM had 12 hits and nine walks. Connor McKee allowed five hits, one walk, one hit batter, one earned run, and struck out four in 4 1/3 innings. Cade Ticknor made his pitching debut. He went 1/13 with two walks, no hits, two K’s, and two earned runs. Nathan Messerschmidt had two of Riverside’s six hits. Eddie Vlcek, Kyler Rieken, Aiden Bell, and Dalton Smith all singled.
