GVC jumped out to a 7-0 lead and then tacked on four runs in the 7th to inflate the final margin. Aubrey Van Otterloo had two of the Wolverines four hits including a double and an RBI. Jorja Holliday and Whitney Lamb each singled. Holliday and Cloey Christensen had one RBI apiece. Holliday struck out seven batters in six innings. The Wolverines moves to 14-16 with one game remaining in the regular season. They’ll host SE Warren on Friday.

The Cougars beat a ranked opponent and hand the Spartans their first conference loss since June 24th, 2019. Helen Riker allowed singles to the first two batters she faced and then retired 21 in a row to end the game. Riker fanned 12 and didn’t walk anybody. Marissa Spieker had an RBI single in CAM’s two-run 5th. Lilly Applegate and Emma Follmann also had hits for the Cougars. Maddy Holtz and Jenna Platt each scored a run. Macy Emgarten allowed three hits, two walks, and struck out 11.
Griswold 10, Audubon 3
Griswold’s Haylee Pennock hit a home run and recorded her 100th career hit. Pitching the victory was Karly Millikan with eight strikeouts, six hits, and one walk. Makenna Askeland posted a single, double, and two RBI. Jenna Reynolds, McKenna Wiechman, and Madison Rush also had multi-hit games. Anna Kelley drove in three runs. The Tigers have won 14 in a row and are 24-1. Katelyn Nielsen got her 100th career hit for Audubon.
