(Greenfield) A new board-certified general surgeon is joining the staff at the Adair County Health System.
According to the press release, Dr. Paul Grossmann, board-certified general surgeon, will see patients and perform surgeries at ACHS beginning September 1. He will see patients at the ACHS Medical Clinic in Greenfield one day per week, Health Trust Physicians Clinic in Winterset two days per week, and Dallas County Hospital in Perry one day per week.
“We are very proud to add Dr. Grossmann to our medical staff,” said Marcia Hendricks, CEO at ACHS and Madison County Health Care System. “He is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon with excellent credentials. The addition of Dr. Grossmann to our collective team helps each of our organizations further enhance the surgical care we provide to all our patients in the area.”
Dr. Grossmann completed his medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine and his general surgery residency at Iowa Methodist’s Central Iowa Health System in Des Moines. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and has over 25 years of surgical experience. Dr. Grossmann will perform general surgical procedures, most commonly laparoscopic gallbladder and hernia surgeries, upper and lower endoscopies, such as colonoscopies, and much more.
“The small-town setting has always been where I’ve always wanted to practice, so this was a great opportunity,” said Dr. Grossmann. When he’s not performing surgery, he heads up to Lake Okoboji to enjoy boating and spending time with his family.
