(Griswold) The Fremont-Mills boys are Corner Conference champs in golf. The Knights won the conference tourney at Griswold on Monday with a score of 370.
Cooper Langfelt led the way for the victors with his round of 86. He won the individual crown via a 3-hole scorecard tie break with Kyle Beam, of Sidney.
3rd place finisher Owen Thompson came through with a round of 91 to help Fremont-Mills earn the team title. They finished 26 strokes ahead of Sidney. In addition to Beam’s 86, Sidney’s team score was aided by 4th place finisher Cole Jorgensen shooting 92.
Griswold placed 3rd with a team total of 443. The Tigers had Caleb Oakleaf deliver a 100, Kamron Brownlee shot 105, Tate Steinhoff 115, Brayden Stirek 121, Mike Kunze 132, and Cooper Harrison 133.
Essex was 4th and East Mills placed 5th in the team competition.
