A Memorial Mass for 68 year old Roni Epperson of Atlantic, formerly of Griswold and Omaha will be Saturday, March 20th at 10:00 AM at the Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Atlantic. Heafy-Hoffman-Dworak & Cutler Funeral Home in Omaha is in charge of arrangements.
Roni Lynn Epperson of Atlantic, Iowa, formerly of Griswold, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska reunited with her beloved son, Erik Epperson, in heaven on March 5, 2021. Roni was a widow of Larry Epperson, who joined their son in 2009. Roni leaves behind her husband, David Wheatley; daughters: Angel Epperson (Bob Mlnarchik), Jill LeBaron, Gina (Jessy) Epperson, Da’Jai and Da’chon; her son, Guy (Nicole) Epperson. Roni was loved by her fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Roni was known for her Girl Scout Leadership and as a local Retail business owner. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Atlantic, IA. As an avid Husker fan, Roni was often sporting her team colors regardless of her Iowa address. She was known for being the loudest voice in the bleachers for all of her kids’ and grandkids’ performances. Roni never met a stranger, made friends everywhere she went, and to know her was to be loved by her. The love for her family was not constrained by blood, but a matter of the heart.
