(Spencer) The Harlan girl’s Cross Country Team placed four runners in the top fifteen and finished second overall with 68-points at the State Qualifying Meet at Spencer on Wednesday. Trey Gross qualified as an individual. The senior ran fourth overall in a time of 16:29.11. The top 15 individuals and the top three teams qualify for State.
Kia Bieker led the Harlan girls. The junior crossed the finish line in fifth with a time of 19:51.77. Brecken Van Baale finished seventh, 19:55.58, Abi Albertsen, 11th, 20:06.46, Liv Freund, 15th, 20:30.77, and Olivia Anderson rounded out the team scoring in 30th in 21.32.19.
Bishop-Heelan won the team title with 49-points, and Spencer qualified third as a team with 56-points.
North Polk won the boy’s team title with 56-points, Le Mars second with 82, and MOC-Floyd Valley finished third with 99-points.
