(Greenfield) Nodaway Valley rode a big 2nd half to a 48-0 win against West Central Valley on Friday night. The Wolverines were able to overcome some early mistakes to eventually gain some separation.
Tony Ayase and Adam Ayase each got things rolling in the ground game. Tony ran for 226 yard and Adam tallied 122 yards. Nathan Russell threw for 196 yards and three scores. Boston DeVault was his top target with six catches for 99 yards and a TD.
Jon Gebbie added his third interception of the season. Avery Phillipi had two sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss. Adam Ayase had five solo tackles.
We’ll have Nodaway Valley on the air in Week 2. The Wolverines will oppose Mount Ayr.
