(State) The Iowa DNR has a longstanding presence at the Iowa State Fair and will offer a virtual opportunity to connect with the public in the fair’s absence this year.
From August 13th-23rd the Iowa DNR will post features online to replicate what they typically do at the state fair. Fisheries Biologist Bryan Hayes says, “It would kind of mimic what we would be doing at the State Fair if we were in our building talking to fairgoers. So a virtual State Fair is being put together by the Iowa DNR.”
Parks 2020 will be the main theme. “This is the 100th year anniversary of the state parks. Content will include Facebook Live videos of dutch oven cooking and live animals. Iowa Public Television has a 100th anniversary state parks show that will be provided.”
