David Bissell, Jr., 61, of Massena passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held at the Massena Center Cemetery in Massena on Monday, May 18, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. (CDC guidelines for COVID-19, Social Distancing will be practiced). Pastor Eric Schubert will officiate the service. The Steen Funeral Home in Massena is in charge of the professional arrangements. Family Visitation: The family will greet friends at the Steen Funeral Home in Massena on Sunday, May 17, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Social distancing will be observed, with no more than 10 people permitted in the building at any given time).
Memorials may be directed to the David Bissell, Jr. memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.
He is survived by his two children, Jackson & Brooke Bissell of Massena and Sammi & Tyler Wangsness of Ankeny, IA. Two grandsons, Beckett and Jayden Bissell. One grandcat, Tuxedo Wangsness. His life partner, Kim Howard, of Massena. Mother, Larita and Pete Lesan of Kellerton, IA. Sister, Cherie & Jeff Roadcap of Broadway, VA. Aunts and Uncles, Dick and Eleanor Bissell, Lola Hodge, Linda Bissell, and Wanda & Ted Kapera. Many cousins and friends.
