(Avoca) The City of Avoca is participating in the 2020 Community Visioning Program.
Amber Mohr, Avoca Main Street Director, said this is a partnership with Trees Forever, Iowa DOT, and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. The goal of this project is to develop a landscape plan that illustrates the vision of Avoca.
“What it’s going to allow our community to do is get input from focus groups ranging from Active Adults, Mobility Impaired, Older Adults and Youth about what services in our community are working for them and which ones need improvement. Once we compile that data, we will get landscape plans from a professional landscape firm that allows us to make the next steps in our community planning,” explained Mohr.
The public is invited to participate in the focus groups on March 28th at the AHSTW High School Cafeteria.
